Watch out for Copenhagen’s Green Designers

Copenhagen Fashion Week has come to be known as the world’s greenest fashion week, since last year when former fashion editor of the Financial Times, Vanessa Friedman, pointed her readers’ attention to the many fashion week activities focused on sustainability.

This year, the fashion week will have designers on the runway that believe in a transition towards sustainable fashion and who are leading the way. That’s why, when fashion week kicks off this week (and more generally of course), you should watch out for designers such as Barbara I Gongini, David Andersen and Fonnesbech, who will be presenting their sustainable designs.

Check out David Andersen online or in his store at Hyskenstræde 8 in Copenhagen. Shop Barbara I Gongini online and look forward to the rebirth of A. Fonnesbech in the fashion sphere, a former luxurious department store that thrived in Copenhagen from its birth in 1847 until it was transformed into a property company in 1970.
